Concert One / Sunday, October 16, 2011 - 3:00 p.m.

JASPER STRING QUARTET
Mousetrap Concert One

"...Powerful, polished and expressive" This young ensemble garners accolades from audiences, critics and academe wherever they play: the US, Canada, England, Italy, Japan, Korea, Norway. Whatever they offer, Haydn, Dohnanyi, Bartok or one of the pieces commissioned for them, the Jasper makes it their own. This concert is a shining gem in Mousetrap's 2011-2012 Season.

2

Concert Two / Sunday, November 20, 2011 - 3:00 p.m.

ANTON BATAGOV, piano
Mousetrap Concert Two

Composer, pianist and electronic musician, Mr. Batagov holds a position as one of the most significant and unusual figures in Russian contemporary music. His performances are legendary; his compositions are tapestries with threads from old church harmonics, folk songs, western minimalism, maybe some rock. His piano recital will include Bach (Partita No 6) and Batagov.

3

Concert Three / Sunday, February 26, 2012 - 3:00 p.m.

POULENC TRIO
Mousetrap Concert Three

Performances of this oboe, bassoon and piano ensemble truly capture the essence and the magic of chamber music. Their repertoire ranges from Telemann and Vivaldi, through Beethoven and Rossini to Shostakovich and Piazzola. "Elegant, Effortless, Exhilarating..." only begin to describe the impact the Poulenc has on its audiences. You won't forget this concert.

4

Concert Four / Sunday, March 25, 2012 - 3:00 p.m.

JAZZ
Mousetrap Concert Four

Victor Dvoskin on Bass, Harry Appelman at piano, Dominic Smith manning drums and Hendrik Meurkens, the German harmonica virtuoso, will be ganging up for the first Sunday Jazz concert in Mousetrap's history. They'll offer American standards every jazz lover wants to hear and some Brazilian treats, as well. If you like jazz, come! If you're not sure, come and be persuaded!

5

Concert Five / Sunday, April 22, 2012 - 3:00 p.m.

DINA KUZNETSOVA TOLIVER, soprano
Mousetrap Concert Four

How about a Sunday with Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff? Ms. Kuznetsova offers songs and operatic selections from Czechoslovakia and Russia. Heralded as a rising star and a soprano with a gorgeous voice, her concerts are revelations of beautiful singing and expressivity. Don't miss the thrilling finale of our thirteenth season.
